Maharashtra State Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology Pune was established in 1969. MSIHMCT Pune is an autonomous institute of Government of Maharashtra. The diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered are recognised by All India Council for Technical Education and have equivalence of MSBTE. MSIHMCT Pune is spread over 2.5 acres of land.

Maharashtra State Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology Pune admissions are offered to various diploma, advance diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and vocational courses. These courses include DHMCT, DTT, Advance Diploma in Hotel Operation, Advance Diploma in Travel and Tourism, BHMCT, MHMCT, HSVC Vocational (Cookery and Bakery) and some other short courses. Admissions are offered based on merit and entrance examination. Candidates should appear in MAH BHMCT CET entrance examination for admission to BHMCT programmes and MAH MHMCT CET entrance examination for admission to MHMCT programme.
