Mahatma Gandhi Mahavidyalaya, situated at Barmer, Rajasthan, India, was started in 2017. This is a co-educational college. Located in Gira, Barmer, this college has come into existence not long ago, but since then, the college has been steadily expanding. The college is affiliated with JNVU Jodhpur. Currently, the institute occupies a compact campus of 2.39 acres; however, this fact is useful to create a community of like-minded people. The college currently has 129 students and 6 members of the faculty, which enables the college to keep a student-to-faculty ratio that can provide the students with a focused and educational experience.

Mahatma Gandhi Mahavidyalaya has a variety of amenities that the institution believes will improve the student learning process. The library is an information centre which makes significant materials available for learning activities. For practical purposes, the College has departmental-based laboratories to ensure practical experience in the areas of specialised disciplines. An auditorium hosts several events and seminars for students and human resource development and extracurricular activities. 

The Mahatma Gandhi Mahavidyalaya also concerns total student health with a health centre that features first aid services and a fitness centre for physical training. Students interested in taking part in sporting activities have facilities put in place to enable them to do so. This year, the college also proved its dedication to the concept of higher, new education; students are provided with outstanding IT equipment. Mahatma Gandhi Mahavidyalaya, Barmer, currently offers one main course of study: Bachelor of Arts (BA). This programme is a three-year full-time programme and is the backbone of the college’s programme offer.
