Other courses offered by MGMDCH include the Postgraduate Diploma in Oral Surgery and PhD in some dental specialities. Undergraduate courses at MGMDCH follow a most stringent and exclusively merit-based admission process. Admission to most of the BDS course students was through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, a country-wide test. Admission to the MDS courses—postgraduate courses—is done through the NEET MDS examination. The institute inducts students for its PhD programmes in various dental specialities through application.

MGMDCH offers Ph.D programmes in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Pathology and Microbiology, and Periodontology. Each programme contains 6 seats except for the Periodontology programme, which has only 3. Admission to PhD programmes requires additional requirements above the NEET score.
