Malabar B.Ed. Training College, Peravoor, was started in 2005 and easily accessible from Kannur, Kerala, affiliated with the University of Kannur. This co-educational institution approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) is dedicated to Teacher Education only. The college is located in a small area of 5 acres and at present has a total enrolment of 199 and teach strength of nineteen. The Malabar B.Ed. Training College, offers only one course, the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) with an approved strength of one hundred students clearly suggesting its specialised thrust on teacher education.

Malabar B.Ed. Training College also owns a variety of amenities that are intended to improve the students learning process in the college. A library with all the necessary facilities has been established and the library contains more than five thousand two hundred books and accesses twenty two journal subscriptions for the students. The library that has a reading room that can accommodate up to sixty students for learning. It is wireless enabled, thus students are able to access internet and other computing resources as needed. As for practical classes, the college owns departmental laboratories. An auditorium is used for occasions and seminars which keeps student academic life active. 

Malabar B.Ed. Training College has only one full-time course which is the B.Ed, the Bachelor of Education course. This programme takes two years to complete and has an approved capacity to admit 100 students which makes sure that adequately small student to teacher ratio as the college prepares to offer quality education. 

Admission to Malabar B.Ed. Training College takes place through merit alone as per guidelines laid down by the State Government of Kerala and the University to which the college is affiliated.
