First Grade College for Women Mariyappa was started in the year 1994 located at Bengaluru, Karnataka. The college is located at # 1/1(3024) 4th ‘B’ main,M.K.K Road Gayathrinagar, and has been in service for nearly three decades now. The college currently holds 247 learners and staffed by 8 faculty members; therefore, providing learners with personalized education. Mariyappa First Grade College provides three undergraduate programmes: The full-time programmes are BA/Studying arts where the student is awarded a BA, B.Com/Studying commerce starts one year as a pre-commerce before students fully joining commerce, BBM/Studying business management also takes one year as a pre-course before the students fully join business.

First Grade College for Women Mariyappa offers a list of infrastructure amenities aimed at improving the input-output matrix of educational processes. A spacious and adequately ventilated seminar hall with a seating capacity of three hundred students’ comprises the school’s routine orientation programmes, extension lectures and personality enhancement programmes. It is well endowed with modern Teaching Aids such as OHP and LCD facilities in audio visual aids. The college has adequate sizes of effective laboratories to enhance the delivery of practical lessons.. There are several facilities including an on-campus Xerox facility for the students, and a student/staff canteen. The college also has parking places for two-wheelers for the conveniences of many students who commute between home and college.

The courses offered by Mariyappa First Grade College include three courses and all of them are full time. Currently the colleges has a general student uptake of 247 which makes it easy for the college to balance between the student and instructor ratio. The enrolment data is however not clear but the college has boosted of quality education in its courses and facilities it has put in place.
