Matri Prem College of Education, Buxar was established in the year 2013. It is a co-educational college of education with the prime motto of grooming future teachers. On the Buxar-Patna National Highway No. 84, Chilhari Pratap Sagar, this affiliated college has a compact campus sprawling over 1.23 acres. The NCTE-approved institute offers two major courses: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), with a total student enrolment of 170. With a faculty strength of 15 experienced educators, the student-to-teacher ratio is maintained at a favourable 11.33:1, thus rendering personalised care and quality education to students.

The institution is well-equipped and provides all necessary facilities in a comfortable environment. Both programs are full-time regular courses aimed at helping train students in the teaching profession. The B.Ed. program imparts advanced pedagogical skills and knowledge, while the D.El.Ed. course is aimed at developing teachers who could teach at the elementary level.
