Mayurbhanj School of Nursing is a stand alone establishment. started in the year 2013 and located in Baripada, Odisha. This school was established to provide specialised nursing education which has been approved by the INC. The institute is located in a small land area of 0.75 acres, and at present it can accommodate a total of 40 students, which is evidence of the fact that the institute provides quality education with a limited number of students enrolled in it. Currently the school has two programmes offered, which prepare students for careers in nursing and health care.
Facilities that are available in the institute include the following, which are aimed at improving the quality of the institute’s students. The library is well equipped with a good stock of books, the latest current Science journals, Research publications and electronic databases outstanding among them. Students with disabilities can be housed in a special hostel provided for the male and female students with necessary facilities to enable them to have comfortable living.

Mayurbhanj School of Nursing offers two full-time courses: There is a B.Sc. Nursing programme that takes 4 years to complete and a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) programme that takes 3 years. The B.Sc Nursing course has an initial pass for organising 20 chairs, yet the GNM course can acknowledge 30 students. Most of these programmes offer general nursing education with a view to training health professional students to face the health sector challenges.
