MGM Institutes University Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics, Navi Mumbai, is a unique teachings hospital started in 2016. The constituent college provided is for the course of prosthetics and orthotics; combining practical based learning and theory for the students. Spread over a campus area of 0.218 acres the institute boasts of a strength of 45 students and 4 faculty members. The department currently has only one formal programme of study and training, which is a four-year full course programme: Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics (BPO).

Total built up area of the facility is 1870 square meters , and it contains the latest books and research publications, the facility has five reading rooms and can comfortably seat over five hundred users at a time. The Prosthetics and Orthotics Labs of the department with each size of about 1500 sq ft are capable of accommodating batches of 30 students. These are well stocked laboratories with a number of features such as air conditioning, adequate water sprinkler systems, and fire extinguishers. The campus itself includes a large cafeteria for affordable healthy meals, as well as distinct hostels for boys and girls with twin-sharing occupancy. In the area of physical fitness, learners have the privilege of using a well-equipped gymnasium and other facilities such as basketball, and badminton courts, a cricket ground, a football playing field. 

MGM Institutes University Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics is now able to only present one; full-time course, the Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics (BPO). This course takes four years and aims at offering all-round education in the area of prosthetics and orthotics.
