Minerva College of Education, Karnal, was established in the year 2007 as one of the premier teacher training institutes in Haryana, India. It is a co-educational institution with its future goal to mould aspiring educators in an atmosphere of security on GT Road Taraori. This is an affiliated college, and hence the institution comes under the guidelines of a bigger university system and thus follows the standardised educational norms. The NCTE, New Delhi, has given recognition to the institution for its endeavours in qualitative teacher education.
The college is approved by NCTE and affiliated with Kurukshetra University. Minerva College of Education offers two main programmes: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Education (D.Ed). Facilities claimed to be offered by the institute to the students to enrich the learning process: First, there is a well-stocked library providing a quiet and conducive atmosphere for study and research. Then, there are fully equipped laboratories enabling practical teaching in the course of training teachers. Sports facilities and a gym look after the physical health of the students, hence promoting a well-rounded education system. A health centre with a first-aid facility helps in taking care of the safety of the students, while the IT infrastructure opens the door for modern teaching methods. Minerva College of Education offers two comprehensive teacher training courses: B.Ed. and D.Ed. Both are full-time courses, offering intensive knowledge and hands-on skills necessary to have a successful teaching career.

The admission policy at Minerva College of Education selects a few of the best and most committed future teachers. Undergraduate Level Admissions in B.Ed shall be made based on appearance and passing the CET Haryana B.Ed. examination, which is a state-level test conducted to assess a candidate's aptitude for teaching. In this way, only highly eligible and committed students join the course. On the other hand, admission to D.Ed. shall be governed by a policy thus formulated by the State Government or the UT Administration.
