Nizam Institute of Pharmacy inNalgonda was started in the year 2005 and is a constituent college situated inDeshmukhi, near Ramoji Film City Hyderabad, Telangana. It is a PCI approved institute offering three pharmacy courses with two degree levels fully funded by the government. Occupying an 18 acre land, the college has 346 students enrolled and it employs 37 members of staff. For being a co-educational, which means that it admits both sexes without compromising the quality of education. This institute provides programmes to meet the specific demand in the healthcare industry since it provides education in pharmaceutical field only.

Nizam Institute of Pharmacy provides common amenities for students’ learning and development process. The college library is another centre of knowledge, which contains over 1500 books to contain basic titles in different fields of study. It can hold over thirty students and has space for books, text, periodicals and research articles. It also has well equipped demonstrative laboratories for practical learning The institute also has well equipped laboratories for practical training. It provides hostels of students where the students of the opposite gender are provided with different hostels for them. Sports and recreational facilities as well as a first aid station are available in a health centre that also houses a canteen. For improvement on the learning process, the college has implemented IT facilities and naturally it should have a facility of auditorium for functions and seminars. There is transport facility available for students and staff which allows comfortable means of transport here.

In its academic programmes, the institute provides three full courses in pharmacy. These are Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) programme, Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) programme and Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate programme. The B.Pharma course mentioned above is to be affiliated with 60 approved intake.

Nizam Institute of Pharmacy, for a large part, admits students through the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test or AP EAMCET. The candidates applying for the B.Pharma programme must have passed the 10+2 examination with an aggregate of 50% of marks. Admission process of the institute is concerning to the government notifications for admission. Training and placement cell offers service for the graduating students as a mediator for campus selection and manage all the recruitment process.
