In 2014, Oriental School of Law was set up as a constituent college of Oriental University in Jakhya, Indore, Madhya Pradesh. This BCI approved institution has been offering legal education and has established a reputation over the period of decade. The school currently boasts the following faculty strength: 16 well-trained dedicated professional with ability to offer a wide range of law programmes like undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral studies. It is apparent from the fact that the institute offers coursework in seven programmes at a total of five degrees, which are well equipped for different sub fields of law.

Oriental School of Law has all the amenities installed at the institution’s campus to ensure that students achieve their study goals and objectives. The institute has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls in order to provide safety and comfort of the inhabitants of the institute. Some of the features available in these hostels include; –Internet connectivity for the Internet connectivity for the hostels, security personnel, security guards for 24 hours, and a CCTV system. It also has a modern library centre that information centre for both students and members of the university. Its is well stocked with books from all branches of law and is computerised with user friendly software to check out resources. In order to meet the health needs of the members of its community, the college features medical room complete with a doctor and a nurse, and a Gymnasium for the purposes of creating toned bodies.

Oriental School of Law provides complete choice of full time courses in law to meet various levels of legal learning. Currently the institute is offering 7 courses which include undergraduate programmes like LLB (Hons) and BA LLB (Hons) Integrated, Post graduate programme like LLM as well as Doctorate in Law. Further, the school provides diploma courses in Cyber Law, Intellectual Property Rights, Environmental Law and policy to reaffirm the commitment of the school to cater different areas of law. The LLB (Hons) as well as the BA LLB (Hons) Integrated programmes have an approved intake capacity of 120 seats each which depicts its ability of moulding a large number of students who want to become legal luminaries in the country.

BA LLB (Hons) Integrated: This integrated course of five years also has an intake of 120 seats. It is a combination of a bachelor's degree in arts and a law degree. LLM: This is a master's program provided in several specializations such as Constitutional Law, Corporate Law, and Criminal Law. Aspirants with an LLB degree from a well-recognized university can apply. BA LLB is a professional 5 years undergraduate course . The minimum eligibility criteria for pursuing BA LLB  is :

  • Candidates should have completed their 10+2 from a recognised board with any stream.
  • Candidates should have passed with at least 45% to 50% marks in class 12th.

The admission for BA LLB course is done on the basis of  entrance examination in most of the top law colleges. The Universities accept the score of National, State, University level entrance examinations for admission.
