Panskura Primary Teachers Training Institute of West Bengal as an institution of teacher education is a stand-alone institute situated in the Purba Medinipur district. This co-educational facility was founded in 2003, and has been preparing teachers to educate other for almost two decades. Located in a 0.642 acre campus, the institute provides concentrated education for anyone who wants to become a teacher. The institute enrolls a total of 135 students and has 16 faculty members; the institute always manage to provide proper student teacher ratio and quality education.

This is taken by the institute as one of the boasts of the variety of facilities it offers to augment the learning of students they have in place. The idea is to prepare the students for the D.El.Ed course so that these can be molded to become effective primary school teachers. As for this special programme, the institute shows the concern for the quality teacher education in the region.
