Pollachi Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIE Tech) was set up in the year 2012 and is situated in Pollachi, Tamil Nadu. Located on a large 50 acres land, PIE Tech enrolled various engineering programmes for the prospective students. This institute maintains its quality of education, and it is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). With a total of 533 students and a faculty of 77 members, PIE Tech has a good student-teacher ratio, which prevents the students from being herded around and instead allows them to receive individual attention and consultation where and when required.

Pollachi Institute of Engineering and Technology is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. PIE Tech has made great provision and has acquired several facilities that are useful for improving the learning of its students. It boasts of Modern, well-equipped laboratory facilities with specialisation in the Manufacturing Technology Lab, Fluid Mechanics Lab, Thermal Engineering lab, CAD/CAM lab etc. The central library is a central resource library, having more than 7000 books in science and technology and access to 36 national journals and over 1500 full-text online e-journals. Students will also find the digital library section for students useful, and the digitised library connects to an internet hub for online resource access. This school provides a living accommodation section for male and female students with well-developed natural resources that make an excellent study environment.

Pollachi Institute of Engineering and Technology has a wide range of engineering courses to offer, and all the various engineering courses are full-time courses. At present, PIE Tech offers seven BE courses which are Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and IT. The overall intake capacity approved for these courses is 300 students per year, and each of these courses has been planned to provide the latest knowledge & skills to the students.

Pollachi Institute of Engineering and Technology follows the TNEA entrance test of admission, where students seeking admission will be offered seats. This makes it an essential tool in the determination of the qualifying students for the various engineering programmes in the institute. Candidate must take the TNEA test on receipt of the application and be ranked high to be considered for admission.
