Our college PN is one of the best in Odisha for academic purposes. The faculty are also very kind and helpful. I enjoyed my 3 years of study in that college. The college taught me how to deal with hardships and the values of life. It's one of best college in sports. Many talented students are present there. The coach has also an exceptional mind in his field.
As per the academics the teachers in zoology Hons were strict as well as humble they were strict outside but kind hearted inside. The students performed well in that college and the teachers were very helpful to each student and cleared every doubts asked.
I don't know much about placements but my friends in commerce and computer science were placed in a very good position and companies like wipro and Infosys were there to recruit students from our college.
I'm going to say PN college is a great value for money. It's a semi govt college and the fees were also quite less. In my time admission fees were Rs 6,730. Yes it's quite less and it gave all the features a student need.
Actually our college campus is quite wide but regarding other colleges it's pretty small but now it's improved a lot. It's has got a big football, cricket, volleyball, basketball field. And an indoor chess and table tennis too. An indoor is being made for badminton players too. It has gym which is free to everyone to use.
I had the one of the best moments in that college and those 3 years of college would be very memorable to me. We had the one of the strongest football team in Odisha and I'm proud to be a part of it. I'll never forget that college and recommend my juniors to join there.
The college does not really have all the required infrastructure and the main issue it that the available resources are not used properly. There is a need of lot more resources. The hygiene of the college is somewhat maintained but there has always been a problem with drinking water.
I am a Computer science student. I chose this stream as I found the IT and software field interesting to study and to have a career in. The classes are regular but practicals are also essential and its not something that is taken care of. The study here is not really enough for us to be job ready, one needs to do some research and hard work on his own in order to prepare for a job even as a fresher.
The college does provide us with some campus placements but the salary packages and and the bonds of the companies are not suitable. The highest package we were provided with was 4lakhs. Not many students make it through the campus recruitment.
I personally dont find it worth the money we pay. We pay a lot more than the other streams as it is a self-financing course but we are not even facilitated with regular and proper practical and theory classes.
Campus life is nothing extra ordinary, recently it has been improving a lot but the safety and security of the students is not really taken care of.
There's a lot that can be done in order to make the academic and campus life much better than it is.
