Rahul College of Education, located in Bhayandar East, Thane, Maharashtra was established in 2007 and it is an affiliated college. The institute enjoys NCTE approval and it offers three professional/taught courses in education. Spread across an area of about 6 acres, this college is having a total of eighty eight students with teaching faculty of only ten. Rahul College of Education has also the facility of education for both male and female students therefore it is a co-educational institution. 

Teacher education is the major concentration with full-time programmes available at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Rahul College of Education has various facilities to improve on general learning to its learners. To notes is that the campus boasts of a fully stocked up library which will be useful to future educators. For their sporting needs, there are well equipped sports complex where one find cricket ground, football ground, volley ball ground, basketball area. An indoor badminton court and arrangements for table tennis, carrom, and chess make available a diverse sports preferences. The college also has fully equipped laboratories, containing computer laboratory with LCD facilities to satisfy students’ needs with scientifically updated technologies. There is also a small canteen on the territory of the university, and there is also an auditorium for conducting events and seminars on the territory of the educational institution. The college provides student health care through a health centre with first aid facilities for students. The college is affiliated to University of Mumbai.

Rahul College of Education provides three courses in the field of educations. These include Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) which is the minimum professional qualification for teachers in India, Master of Education (M.Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education. In addition, the B.Ed programme has the intake capacity of hundred while the M.El.Ed programme has intake capacity of fifty. 

The admission policy of Rahul College of Education entails merit basis of the candidates as per the directions of the state government and the university. For the B.Ed programme, only CET conducted by the Maharashtra Vinnaanudaan Adhyapak Mahavidyalaya Sansthachalak Association, Pune, is obligatory for the candidates.
