Raja Bhoj Government College is one of the premier government institutions for higher education in Katangi city of Balaghat district, Madhya Pradesh. The institute was established by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh, in the year 1989 to offer quality higher education for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. 

The college is spread over 10 acres of its own land surrounded by a cemented boundary wall. It has infrastructure and learning resources consisting of classrooms, ICT enabled seminar hall, equipped laboratories, library and other support facilities. The college has substantial infrastructure for sports (indoor & outdoor) and other extracurricular activities. The college has a library with 21,849 books covering all disciplines. The college library has a subscription of Hindi and English Newspapers. UG, PG classrooms and laboratories are equipped with teaching aids. Currently, the library is working in manual mode as we don’t have the soul software for library automation but we are trying for the same. All the laboratories are equipped with proper light and ventilation. Do’s and Don’ts/safety precautions are displayed in each laboratory. A stock register is maintained for the purchase of lab equipment, instruments, materials and chemicals for each laboratory i.e. Chemistry, Physics, Botany & Zoology. The campus facilities are maintained through full-time staff/maintenance persons etc. under the guidance of the principal.

Raja Bhoj Government College, an affiliated college of Raja Shankar Shah University, Chhindwara, offers Undergraduate Programmes in Science, Arts and Commerce. The institute also offers Postgraduate programmes in the stream of science and arts. The Raja Bhoj Government College also offers postgraduate programmes in the stream of science and arts.
