Rajas Institute of Technology (RIT) is one of the destination educational institutions which was started in the year 2009 at Nagercoil, Tamilnadu. This college affiliated to the University of Calcutta is approved by AICTE and offers 8 courses across undergraduate and postgraduate under the stream engineering and technology. This campus of RIT Nagercoil is well-located on a green 7.5 acres of land that fosters effective learning environment and character transformation. This institute takes a total of 260 students in a year and they have 74, 74 faculty members so they have good student-teacher ratio.

The institute has modern amenities that support education of the students and make their learning even more effective. RIT facilities contain well furnished classrooms, computerized laboratories and a library with collection comprising of more than twenty four thousand volumes and eight thousand four hundred and fifty one titles. The Library also offers e-journals, that allows user to focus on studying and researching, including IEEE publications. For the students with disability, RIT has a girls hostels with a capacity of 400 with spacious hall and dining, wi-fi and even laundry.

Currently, the RIT Nagercoil offers 8 courses to its students, out of which it offers 6 undergraduate courses and 2 postgraduate courses. There are four year B.E., B.Tech undergraduate programs and Two years M.E. postgraduate programs offered. All are on the full time basis so that they get the whole feel about the courses they are offering.

The admission policy of RIT Nagercoil is thorough and cent percent based on the merit of students. Undergraduate program admissions, are primarily done through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) process. As for the admission criteria would lay down that the student should have passed with minimum 50% marks in 10+2 level with science stream having Physics Mathematics and Chemistry Computer Science.
