Rajasthan PG College is one of the co-educational institution established in the year 2005 Bissau, Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan. Being an affiliated college, it provides several and different undergraduate and postgraduate courses and programmes in different fields and disciplines. The college has the total rights of its students enrolment as 726 and the faculty strength of 16 that helps best in their learning and personality development. Located at Churu Road near Police Station the campus is well connected by Rajasthan State Highway 37.
The college has numerous amenities that serve to complement imparting of knowledge to the learners. The library as one of the critical academic facilities is a computerized facility with a voluminous stock of books, references, journals, and e-resources; textbooks also. The flow of information is immense for students to support their study and research whether academic or career related. The college also has well equipped laboratories for the different discipline that enables the students to practice and do of their experiments under the supervision of the experts. As for the needs of the accommodation, the college has two hostels to house outstation students separately, a boys hostel, and a girls hostel. Through the available sporting infrastructure, the institution provides a wide variety as extracurricular activities both under indoor and outdoor games. The physical activities available to students include chess, table tennis, carom, badminton, cricket, handball volleyball and athletics. The college boasts of the students who play for the college in inter college / inter university competitions which many of them go on to represent the college at state and national level. Furthermore, the college also has an active alumni association that ensures aspiring college students connect with graduates practicing in different organisations.
As mentioned earlier there are 9 courses in total offered by the Rajasthan PG College in five academic programs for students. The institution offers undergraduate and post graduate programmes and are offered fully in arts, commerce and science faculties. The BA has the largest carrying capacity of 300 students; the B.Sc intake is 120 students, and B.Com is 80 students. At the postgraduate level the college offers MA in Hindi, Political Science, Geography M.Sc in Zoology, Chemistry, Mathematics in which 40 students are admitted per section. These are diverse courses to enhance students’ interests effectively to adapt in different fields of specialisation.
