About Regional Medical Research Centre, Dibrugarh
Regional Medical Research Centre Dibrugarh is one of the 26 permanent institutes of Indian Council of Medical Research. RMRCNE Dibrugarh was established in 1982 in the state of Assam. The centre is responsible for carrying out biomedical research in the remote and less developed areas in the northeast states, including Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura, and Sikkim.
RMRCNE Dibrugarh covers research areas such as non-communicable diseases, communicable diseases, Cancers, Hypertension and Coronary Heart Disease, Medicinal plants of NE India, Mosquito-borne diseases, Drug abuse and HIV/AIDS, Trematode infections, Haemoglobinopathies and others.
