RTES College of Education for Women is affilaited college situated in Ranebennur which was started in 2004, In Haveri District, Karnataka. This co-education college, recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) is dedicated to Teacher Education only. Located in a 5 acrean area, the college provides only the B.Ed programme with a total admission capacity of students 186. Currently, the college has 16 faculty members that enable it to provide optimal student-to-teacher ratio to improve the professional development of each educator.

RTES College of Education, Ranebennur is affiliated with the college Karnataka University, Dharwad. RTES College of Education possesses a number of features deemed to improve the learning environment for the students. Library and reading room are necessary for study and training, sports and gyms give physical and ensemble trainings. An auditorium is used in conducting events and seminars thus enhancing the life of the campuses. It also provides facilities that are departmental to make it easy for students to undertake practical sessions in the laboratories. Also, the institution has embraced quality I.T infrastructure, making students ready for the world of compete education.

At present, RTES College of Education has only one regular programme available namely – the Bachelor of Education B.ED degree programme. It is a two-year programme and has an approved intake of one hundred intakes showing that the college only aims for quality teachers. The B.Ed course aims at enabling students overcome various challenges that arise when practicing as teachers.

In general, organisational criteria for admitting the students in RTES College of Education follows merit based on the policies provided by the state government/UT administration and the university to which it is affiliated to. By assessment, prospective students are tested on their performance in the qualifying examination as well as the entrance examination.
