36 MonthsBachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) Lateral Entry is a Three-year full-time program that is the undergraduate level pharmacy education course offered by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, Kolkata.
A candidate who wishes to pursue a higher course in Pharmacy with a D. Pharm. qualification is eligible to take admission in the B. Pharm. course through lateral entry (JELET) (conducted by WBJEEB). The B. Pharm. lateral entry helps the candidates to take direct admission to the B. Pharm. course in the second year. Such candidates can be turned into Pharmacy Graduates with three years of further studies. If a candidate wants to get admitted to the 2nd year of B. Pharm. (i.e., lateral entry), he must have passed D. Pharm. from a PCI-approved Institute. The candidates should have secured at least 60% marks in their three-year diploma programme.
Diploma holders in Pharmacy qualifying in the JELET exam (conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board) are eligible on the basis of merit position for admission in the 3rd semester (2nd year) of the B. Pharm. course. The candidate should satisfy the stipulated standard of physical fitness with good mental and physical health.
