Saraswathi Velu College of Engineering (SVCE) is an affiliated college founded in the year 2001 and is situated in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. SVCE is located on a magnificent plot of 8 acres of area and admits students for the following engineering fields. The student enrolment at the institute at the moment stands at thirty-nine and a membership of sixty for the faculty. e technologically driven world. The college pays great attention to keeping the student/faculty ratio as ideal as possible.
The college workforce provides a range of amenities that make learning environment comfortable meeting the needs of the students. The hostels are distinct for boys and girls that SVCE offers with the view of being more like a home for students. These hostels are fully furnished with facilities such as hygienically fit canteen, purified water, constant electricity supply, Internet connectivity etc. The campus also has a functional library which has a capacity of over 25,522 volumes of books under different branches of engineering along with subscription of many national and international journals. To make sure that its students’ health is well taken care of, SVCE has put up a health centre with first aid station and a gym. It also has provision for extra curriculum activities such as sports facilities and also a hall for cultural programmes/seminars etc.
SVCE has four full time BE courses which takes four years to complete. Some of these programmes include BE in Electronics and communication engineering, Computer science and engineering, Mechanical engineering and Electrical and Electronics engineering. The total approved intake for these courses is one hundred and fifty, While Mechanical Engineering takes fifty six, the remaining three options each take thirty.
