Satya Kinkar Dey Academy, Birbhum, West Bengal, is one of the newer institutions, established in 2016. This coeducational affiliated college has risen fast to make a place in the area concerning teacher education. The compact campus of 2.31 acres provides a dedicated learning environment for aspiring teachers. In the institute, a total of 328 students have enrolled, along with a faculty strength of 35, and so this balance adds up to a very favourable student-teacher ratio, which thereby provides congenial conditions for personalised attention and quality education.

These courses are two years in duration and have been designed to give students sound theoretical knowledge besides teaching practical skills. The academy, as a whole, admits 150 students for both courses combined as a reflection of their concern for value-based quality education through manageable class strengths.

Admission to Satya Kinkar Dey Academy is based on merits and also conforming to the policies of the state government and the affiliating university. For admission to the B.Ed course, candidates shall be admitted strictly in accordance with the merit based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or performance at an entrance examination.
