The Savitri Bai Phule Government Polytechnic, Azamgarh was established in 1963 in affiliation with the Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education, Lucknow. It offers diploma courses in the field of engineering. Particularly courses in civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering and a PG diploma course in drone technology. Those who want to establish a career in engineering and get employment can apply for these diploma degrees. Candidates need to clear the minimum SBPGP eligibility criteria which is to pass the 10th board examination with english, science and mathematics as core subjects. Candidates have to appear for the JEECUP entrance examination to clear the eligibility criteria.
