Admission procedures to the different medical programs of the School of Medical Sciences and Research (SMSR), Greater Noida, formed under Sharda University have been well defined. The institute is recognized by the National Medical Commission and admits through national entrance examinations. NEET-UG is the only examination for admission at the undergraduate level. The institute's flagship program-MBBS-has an intake capacity of 250, based on NEET-UG scores. Postgraduate admissions for MS and MD national entrance examination: the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduate (NEET-PG).
The MD and MS courses offered cover a wide spectrum of specialties like Anaesthesiology, General Surgery, Paediatrics, General Medicine, others in Radiodiagnosis, etc. However, depending on the cycles of national examinations, the admission cycle tends to vary from year to year; NEET-UG is held mostly in the first half of the year, then comes the process of counseling and admission. For the next academic session, though, the counseling is distributed on January 1 and 2, 2025, for Round 3 seat allotment for NEET-PG.

Degree wise Admission Process
MBBS: Admission into the MBBS course is purely on the basis of NEET-UG scores. The institute has 250 seats for the course. One has to qualify 10th and 12th standards with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
MD/MS: The School of Medical Sciences and Research also offers 18 programs for award of MD/MS titles with a total of 93 seats for admission on the basis of NEET-PG scores. The more sought MD/MS courses are:
M.Sc Medical Programs: It has M.Sc programs in Medical Anatomy, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology, and Physiology. The admission to these courses is largely based on a bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline; detailed admission information has not yet been finalized.
Ph.D. Programs: Community Medicine, Physiology, and Pathology have places for Ph.D. The online entrance examination conducted by Sharda University must be passed before interview admission is granted to these programs.

Hello aspirant. Sharda University is located in Uttar Pradesh. All students in medical colleges of Uttar Pradesh, whether government or private, have to follow a 2 year bond- compulsory rural internship after their completion of MBBS. If the bond is broken, the student must pay 10 lakh rupees as a penalty. Students are also required to sign a bond paper before their admission as a contract. All the best!
