Admission procedures to the different medical programmes of the School of Medical Sciences and Research, Greater Noida, formed under Sharda University, have been well defined. The institute is recognised by the National Medical Commission and admits through national entrance examinations. NEET-UG is the only examination for admission at the undergraduate level. The School of Medical Sciences and Research flagship programme – MBBS – has an intake capacity of 250, based on NEET-UG scores. Postgraduate admissions for MS and MD national entrance examinations: the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduate (NEET-PG).
The MD and MS courses offered cover a wide spectrum of specialities like anaesthesiology, general surgery, paediatrics, general medicine, radiodiagnosis, etc. However, depending on the cycles of national examinations, the School of Medical Sciences and Research admission cycle tends to vary from year to year; NEET-UG is held mostly in the first half of the year, then comes the process of counselling and admission. For the next academic session, though, the counselling is distributed on January 1 and 2, 2025, for Round 3 seat allotment for NEET-PG.

Admission into the MBBS course is purely on the basis of NEET-UG scores. The institute has 250 seats for the course. One has to qualify for 10th and 12th standards with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

It has M.Sc. programmes in medical anatomy, biochemistry, pharmacology, microbiology, and physiology. The School of Medical Sciences and Research admission to these courses is largely based on a bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline; detailed admission information has not yet been finalised.
Physiology, Community Medicine, and Pathology have places for Ph.D. The online entrance examination conducted by Sharda University must be passed before interview admission is granted to these programmes.

Hello aspirant. Sharda University is located in Uttar Pradesh. All students in medical colleges of Uttar Pradesh, whether government or private, have to follow a 2 year bond- compulsory rural internship after their completion of MBBS. If the bond is broken, the student must pay 10 lakh rupees as a penalty. Students are also required to sign a bond paper before their admission as a contract. All the best!
