Seemanta Mahavidyalaya, Jharpokharia has its basis in the year 1979 and it is co-educational college existing in the Odisha state of India. This affiliated college is NAAC B accredited and UGC approved in India. Stretched over 15 acres of area, the college currently has three undergraduate programmes with an encompassing students’ enrolment capacity of 1368 and a faculty of 30 members.
Seemanta Mahavidyalaya has a befitting number of facilities to complement the learning process and individual growth of the learners. It is a learning centre that has a rich stocks of books, magazines, online and printed e-books, journals, and other academic materials. As far as practical experiences are concerned, the institution has well furnished laboratories to support every department. The campus has modern communication technology with internet connection in the facilities in order to allow the students to connect and have resources that are online. Those interested in physical fitness activities, there is an on-campus Gym and sports facilities; these include a large playground for volleyball, football amongst others. The college has provided hostel for both male and female students with relevant commodities like study tables, connectivity to the internet, etc.
Seemanta Mahavidyalaya offers a total of three full-time undergraduate courses. The following degrees include; Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com). These programmes are intended to equip students good knowledge in the respective fields of their discipline.
