Seth Jaiprakash Mukandlal Polytechnic for Women, Ghaziabad was established in the year 1975 and is completely a women-oriented technical institute—certainly an epitome for women's empowerment. It is located at Dayanand Nagar, Model Town, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. This affiliated college, approved by AICTE, offers diploma courses in Fashion Designing and Garment Technology. Having a campus area of 5.3 acres, this institute has a total student enrolment of 210 and a faculty-to-student ratio of 1:210. The polytechnic offers two specialised courses, exclusively for females, whereupon one can seek employment in the fashion/garment industry.

Seth Jaiprakash Mukandlal Polytechnic for Women offers two full-time diploma courses in Fashion Designing and Garment Technology. The main course is the three-year Diploma in Fashion Designing and Garment Technology. Thereafter, the institute has a prepared two-year Lateral Entry for the same diploma. Both courses are aimed to arm the students with the desired skills and learning in the fashion industry. 

The intake of students for the diploma programmes is based on the Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education. It is a standardised test and the main gateway for prospective students to apply for a seat under the institutes' programmes. The polytechnic follows online counselling after the Entrance Exam, thus ensuring transparency and fairness in the admission process.
