Shahnaz College of Education Narsapur, a teacher training college, was established in 2004 in Narsapur, in the state of Telangana, India. This secondary school of a university is a co-educational institution with a focus on the preparation of future teachers. NCTE and recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education, B.Ed. is available for all the courses that show the concern of the college for providing quality teacher education. Located on 1 acre of land, the college is now hosting 164 students and has a teaching staff of 16, which makes the learning and mentoring as close and attentive as possible for those willing to become teachers.

A well-stocked and resourced library has been established in the college to act as an information centre with a reading room, journals, photocopying facilities, and Internet browsing. Among many subcategories, it contains the latest volumes and issues of books and journals, both Indian and international. It also has laboratories such as a physiology and biochemistry lab, a fundamental lab, and a computer lab, which are useful in capacity building of the students in education. As part of the student’s all-round development, the institute has provisions for indoor and outdoor games, with a gym. Student health is well catered for by the college, with a health centre in place and in a position to offer first aid. The sophisticated class and the great IT facilities also enhanced the teaching learning environment; besides, the students are well equipped and suited to be effective teachers in the near future. 

There is only one programme taught at Shahnaz College of Education, an affiliated college of Osmania University, Hyderabad, and that is the Bachelor of Education programme, for which the college provides 100 seats. This is a full-time academic course that takes two years and provides competence in teaching in order to enhance a successful teaching profession.

Shahnaz College of Education strictly follows Admission Procedure, which is laid down by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education and norms, which are laid down as follows, merit list conducted based on the marks scored by the candidates. The following must pass the B.Ed. Common Entrance Test (EdCET) as administered by the state government.
