The Shikshan Prasarak Mandal College of Physical Education, Belagavi, is a new generation college offering education exclusively in physical education, established in 2007. This college is situated in Raibag, Karnataka, and it occupies 43.37 acres of land in order to surround and concentrate an independent environment for those who are going to be the physical education professionals one day. The institute is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), which sets the policy for teacher education in the country. Shikshan Prasarak Mandal College of Physical Education offers two primary courses in physical education: Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) and Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed). The B.P.Ed has obtained permission for the admission of 100 students, while for the M.P.Ed programme admissions 40 students per year.
