Shivalik Hills College of Education, a teacher training institution located at Nangal, Ropar District, Punjab, was established in the year 2005. This affiliated co-educational college approved by NCTE provides specialised courses in education. Located in a small plot of 0.875 acres, the college educates a total strength of 286 students, including 18 faculty members.

The college embarked on completing the development of such facilities in order to provide the needed basic commodities that could complement the learning process of students. A well-established library is essential, as the internal repository contains educational books and other general books and reference books and encyclopaedias on education and other related research information.
