The year 1994 saw the establishment of Shree VM Sakariya Mahila Arts College, Botad, as a women's college in Gujarat, India. Previously, the college had been awarded accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, which ensures the quality of education at all levels but mainly that of the female student community. This is a very small campus area, measuring 0.2725 acres, which serves a total of 774 students and employs 15 staff members; it offers one degree program in arts education. Its student-to-faculty ratio is around 52:1.

The college made extra sure that, as an educational institute, it would provide students with as many facilities as possible. The college has a very well-stocked library, through which students receive an exposure to numerous academic resources and study materials.
