Shri Jagannath Medical College and Hospital, Puri, is a newly established college in Odisha and was set up in the year 2021. Situated in Baliguali, Puri district of Odisha, the co-educational facility is an affiliated college with NMC approval. Located on a large plot of land of 26 acres, the college offers only one course, MBBS, with an approved annual enrolment of 100 students. This has a faculty strength of 63 members; therefore, there is a good student-teacher relationship to ensure quality delivery.

Shri Jagannath Medical College and Hospital, Puri, is a government medical college in Odisha, officially affiliated with Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, and recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC). It offers an MBBS programme with an annual intake of 100 seats. For the learner who wants to become a doctor, the college has well-equipped laboratories for the practical sessions. The campus facilities are complemented by present-day facilities, including IT facilities, playground, sd most of which contain a basketball court, a children's play area, a 650-seater hall with modern audiovisual equipment, a restaurant, and even a gym for the overall physical health of the children. AS far as practical exposure is concerned, the college is affiliated to the District Headquarter Hospital, Puri the Medical College Hospital. 

Shri Jagannath Medical College and Hospital has only one course in its curriculum, the MBBS course. This full-time course is spread over six years and offers a course to prospective doctors in the medical field. The college has an intake of one hundred seats for this programme to offer quality education to its students, as it also works towards the senior registrar to fill the increasing need for health personnel in the country. 

On this basis, the Shri Jagannath Medical College and Hospital follows the NEET-UG for admission in the college. This national-level examination is the only channel through which the candidates are admitted to the MBBS programme and thereby making the admission process even and competitive. One has to qualify NEET-UG examination with specific passing marks to be able to get admission for the course. The college follows the state rules and regulations in counselling and the number of seats offered.
