Shri Onkar Singh Memorial Women Teacher’s Training College, Ajmer comes into existence in the academic year 2007, is a professional women’s college in the field of teaching education. This affiliated college is situated in pasand nagar, kotra, Ajmer, Rajasthan the college is approved from national council for teacher education (NCTE). Sited in a 2-acre campus, the college provides 4 teaching courses in three types of degrees with emphasis on the trainer development programmes. As at the time of this research, the college has admitted 543 female students and the college has 12 faculty members to train these students and is therefore suitable for female educators. Such an approach is evident in the fact that this institution enshrines and supports women rights in that it only admits females.

To support the achievement of its educational mission, the college has a variety of essential features. An efficient store house of books is the library which provides the books required for the academic purposes and also other reference books needed for the academic assistance. It has well stocked laboratories for Chemistry, Biology, and Physics with equipment to support practical sessions for the B.Ed students. The canteen facility is used to provide food stuff for the staff and students with outstanding payment. The college also provides IT infrastructure facility, sports facility and also accommodate guests in Guest room if any. For instance, the college has a separate girl’s hostel within its compound with basic facilities like furniture, food, water, electricity and facilities for recreation. Safety of students got an upper hand with first aid being available and communication with a Wi-Fi enabled college. An auditorium features events and seminars and transport facilities are provided for students in transit.

Out of these, Shri Onkar Singh Memorial Women Teacher’s Training College provides 4 full time courses. These are B.Ed, BA B.Ed, B.Sc. B.Ed, D.El.Ed programs. The college has a total approved intake of 200 students in total with proportionality divided in B.Ed, BA B.Ed, B.Sc. B.Ed and D.El.Ed . The above array of courses ensures teacher education is covered in different abilities, levels, and fields of teaching.

Shri Onkar Singh Memorial Women Teacher’s Training College gives preference to those students who have performed well in their previous examinations. In case of B.Ed and D.El.Ed admission are taken based on percentage of marks in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The college follows admission norms laid down by the State Government of Rajasthan and the University with which it is affiliated to.
