Shukla Devi Academy for B.Ed is situated at Birbhum, established in the year 2013, an affiliated college located in Haraipur, West Bengal. It is a co-educational facility approved by the National Council for Teacher Education. The academy is situated on 0.7 acres of a compact campus, with a current enrolment of 159 students in total and faculty members totalling 15. 

The academy is also proud of its infrastructure in relation to the facilities it provides for the benefit of students. A library well equipped with knowledge in respect of the needs of training teachers, a campus set-up with modern laboratories to facilitate practical learning and research, and, last but not least, excellent information technology infrastructure guarantees that the students are in touch with technology changes in the field of education. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled for the students to stay connected. Sports facilities are provided so that the students can enjoy physical fitness as they carry out their academic pursuit for the overall welfare of an individual. Hostel facilities are available for boy and girl students, respectively. 

Shukla Devi Academy for B.Ed mainly offers two major courses. The seven full-time two-year programmes in a Bachelor of Education have an authorised intake of 100 students, and a Diploma in Elementary Education admitted 50. The design of these two-year full-time programmes is to prepare students for a successful career in teaching and educational administration. Of the 150 seats for both the courses, the academy targets propagating able educators who will be an asset to the education sector.

Admission to B.Ed. in Shukla Devi Academy is purely on a merit basis and works as qualifying marks in the entrance examination and/or qualifying examination. The selections may differ in accordance with the policy adopted at that time by the state government, Union Territory administration, and the university to which the college is affiliated. Admission to the D.El.Ed programme is based purely on merit in the qualifying examination and may include other state-level selection procedures.
