SI-MET College of Nursing Muttathara, located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, came into existence in the years 2015 and affiliated to the University of Kerala. The following is a co-educational institution that is approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) to provide special education in nursing. Actually, the college occupies a small area of land, only 25 acres, and employs 20 highly qualified specialists, including teachers. SI-MET college of nursing aims at producing quality nurse administrators through a single program B.Sc Nursing with an approved annual admission capacity of 60 students.

This college firmly believes that the quality education can only be delivered in conducive learing environment. It provides a set of amenities for learning and for personal growth, as well. The campus has boys’ hostel and girls’ hostel facilities to facilitate comfortable accommodation for students who travel from their home towns. Currently the college provides only one regular course which is the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing). The program that is offered at DU is a four year program with focus on nursing care, knowledge, and skill. Approved for 60 intakes, the course prepares Competent, compassionate, and skilled nursing professionals for service. The curriculum probably includes such courses such as anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, pediatric nursing and community health nursing among others.
