Siddhartha Degree College for Women, Hyderabad is a women’s college that was started in 1995 to provide guidance to the women folk in the city of Hyderabad in the newly formed state of Telangana. Being an affiliated college located in the ‘heart of the city,’ Dilsukhnagar, this institution has been training the young generation for over two decades. The college has 556 students currently and has 57 dedicated faculty members, who teach 18 courses in five degree programmes which focus on Mathematics, Computer Science, Microbiology, and Commerce. This can be seen in the present focused mission statement and curriculum of the institution where it offers academic programmes for women.

Siddhartha Degree College has developed a number of infrastructures that would enable facilitate the learning process. At the center of these comforts, is a vast and recognized library which functions on open access model for faculty and a restricted access model for students thereby providing a plethora of books from where they can pick what they want. The all modern Computer Science laboratory where students can find high performance computers and free access to the Internet is all created to help student to succeed in the information technology age. For aspiring scientific students, the college provides professional laboratories for doing different types of analytical work such as titration, gravimetric, and chromatography work. Besides education, the institution incorporates physical development resources such as; play grounds, gym facilities and an auditorium for games, cultural activities and other activities. The college also provides transport facilities making it easy for the students as well as staff of the institution to be transported to areas of their destinations.

The offered full-time courses at Siddhartha Degree College for Women include a wide spectrum of academic degree programmes that can fulfill a variety of academic pursuits. These courses are made up of 12 undergraduate programmes and 6 post graduate programmes making a total of eighteen courses offered in the institution across different fields. The undergraduate courses comprise of B.Sc with concentrations in Mathematics and Physics, Microbiology and Chemistry, Botany and Zoology and Computer Applications. Further, the college has three years BCA, B.Com and BBA courses too. University postgraduate courses include masters of Science in Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Microbiology, Statistics, and Mathematics. By admitting a total of 556 students in the college, student intake guarantees making the organisation selective and then create a personalized environment for learning.
