SNS College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Coimbatore, India, was set in 2019, and the college is a new one focused on pharmacy. This affiliated college is situated at Vazhiyampalayam, Coimbatore – Tamil Nadu and gained a momentum among other pharmacy colleges in a short span of time. The courses offered at the institute are recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education and the Pharmacy Council of India, so that relevant standards are maintained. With a focus on pharmaceutical sciences, SNS College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences offers two courses: UG programmes of B.Pharma and D.Pharma, to meet the needs of the student community who want to make a career in pharmaceutical sector.
SNS College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences has many features that should contribute towards a rich experience for the students of the college. Taking their cue from the library facility, students are urged to become knowledgeable about current pharmacy journals and literature. To cope up the technological trend, the institute has set up computer centre with 60 nodes and 32 Mbps internet connection. The college boasts of Pharmaceutical facilities which include laboratories for Pharmaceutics, Medicinal chemistry, Pharmaceutical analysis, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy and Microbiology. These well equipped labs offer students practical experience necessary in their academic and future careers. Furthermore, the college provides facilities such as playgrounds, a gymnasium, a pool, transport, a canteen, and even an aircraft for student activities, and events such as seminars among others, to make their student life as diversified as possible.
At present, SNS College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences provides two options for completely built up course in the area of pharmacy. The B.Pharma course is a four year undergraduate course for 100 students while the D.Pharma programme is a diploma course of two years to 60 students. They are as follows Both courses aim at imparting a sound understanding of different aspects of pharmaceutical sciences as well as skills necessary for the acquisition of a fulfilling career in the constantly growing and changing pharmaceutical sector.
