Solan Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital (SHMCH), established in 2002 at Kumarhatti, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, is an affiliated college. It is one of the prominent homeopathic institutions and came into existence with the approval of the Central Council of Homeopathy (CCH). Located in a small plot of 0.9182 acres, SHMCH has only one programme with a total number of students of 380. The college has a strong team of 28 faculties and has 17 students per faculty, thus implying a better student-faculty ratio. As the only Islamic university offering homeopathic education, SHMCH’s mission is to give students excellent education to enable them to seek careers in the various aspects of homeopathy.

SHMCH offers a single course: the Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS). This is a full-time programme that takes six years to complete for those interested in homeopathic medicine. This college has an approved intake capacity of 75 for this course and is suited for patients who want to build a career in homeopathy.
