Soniya Gandhi Polytechnic Shrigonda was started in 2009 by Hon'ble Rajendra (Dada) Shivajirao Nagavade, Chairman of Shri Sahakar Maharshi Shivajirao Naraynrao Nagawade Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana with the objective of providing technical education and employment to students in rural areas.
