Sree Balaji College of Nursing Chennai, directly coming under professional studies, was inaugurated in the year 1992. This constituent college is situated in Chromepet, Chennai, and has been training generations of healthcare professionals for the last more than three decades. The college is duly accredited by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), to show that the college as well as its programmes are recognised by the Indian Nursing Council. Sree Balaji College of Nursing conducts various programmes in nursing at the B.Sc., M.Sc., P.B.B.Sc., and M.P.B.B.S. levels for those who wish to become nurses and those wishing to build up a progressive career in the specialities of nursing.

Sree Balaji College of Nursing has installed numerous school facilities meant to complement the learning process of the students. Sree Balaji College of Nursing has the following approved seven full-time courses recognised at two degree levels. The undergraduate programs the college offers are four years of B.Sc. Nursing with one hundred total seats and two years of Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing with a total of fifteen total seats. Although at the postgraduate level, the college offers five specialised M.Sc. Nursing programmes for 5 students per specialisation, and each programme takes two years to complete. Some of these specialisations are medical-surgical nursing, paediatric nursing, obstetrics and gynaecological nursing, community health nursing, and psychiatric nursing.
