About SSEC Coimbatore
Sree Sakthi Engineering College (SSEC), is an affiliated college, started in 2010, situated in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. SSEC is situated across a 13.5-acre campus provides a wide variety of engineering streams under both Bachelors and Masters degrees. The institute is recognised by AICTE, New Delhi and also accredited by NAAC. While the total enrolment is 695 and the faculty members are 142 in number, the institute continues to uphold a reasonable student teacher ratio. The college teaches fifteen courses across three levels of degrees in different specialisations of engineering such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology.
SSEC possess various state of art facilities to improve the students learning processes and personality development. The campus has set apart hostels for boys and girls such that students feel at home as they go through their time in the institution. The college library has facilities for e-journals and e-books, apart from the host of text books and reference books it houses. To the sports lovers, it offers well crafted play areas for cricket match or soccer, tennis court and volleyball ground, indoor basketball, badminton and also a standard table tennis. The college also has a fully-equipped computerised laboratory with 100 dual core 2 processors which supports both Linux and Windows for technical support of the college.
SSEC present a complete engineered course of studies with eleven undergraduate courses and four postgraduate courses. The college offers full time programmes across several engineering disciplines including BE in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Communication engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information technology engineering, and Cyber security. In addition, SSEC has diploma courses in areas of computer science, mechanical engineering and automobile engineering. Total approved intake for all courses is 695 students which make it possible to give individual student adequate attention and treatment.
In its admission policy, SSEC rely mostly on the Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission or CEETA-PG for postgraduate class. Out of 100 seats for undergraduate admissions, 65 in single window counselling while remaining 35% of the seats in Self Financing Professional Colleges, Tamil Nadu as per the government quota of the consortium of self financing professional college.
