Sri Subramanya College of Engineering and Technology (SSCET), started in 2000, is an affiliated college in Palani, Tamil Nadu. Located in the centre of the city on a campus of 122372 sq meters, SSCET is a professional institute offering various undergraduate and postgraduate degree in engineering. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has recognised the institute and it is dedicated for offering the quality technical education. The total enrolment of students is 344 and faculty members are 63 so SSCET has healthy student faculty ratio. The college provides 5 courses under one degree programmes majoring in different fields of engineering.

SSCET has many facilities to address academic activities and to complement the learning process and the life of students. The college library is a reservoir of knowledge with a stock of books over 9,500 titles and 24,000 volumes, 145 print journals and magazines. Students are also able to access 345 subscribed online journals, and 10000 open source online journals through the library link. The campus computational includes separate hostel for boys and girls to make the students have a home away from home, clean and well ventilated hostels with balanced diets meals available. Sports wise, SSCET provides best infrastructural facilities to the sports lovers so that they practices handball, football, hockey, volley ball and cricket grounds & indoor games like table tennis, chess etc. The college also has a well stocked gym for those students who have interest in keeping fit. This is an Affiliated College of Anna University, Chennai.

Admission to the institute is available in total 5 courses including 5 BE courses. The undergraduate courses are full time, regular courses that take four years to complete. The total approved intake for this current undergraduate programmes is 210. At present, two programmes that have the highest intake are Computer Science and Engineering with 60 intakes and Mechanical engineering second also with 60 intakes. 

The admission procedure in SSCET is simple and the admission is strictly based on merit. According to courses, the college offers undergraduate admissions and offers seats strictly on merit scored in the concerned entrance tests. For postgraduate admissions, the institute accepts several standard exams like GATE and CEETA-PG for Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission.
