One such privately aided engineering institution is the Sri Vasavi Institute of Engineering and Technology, abbreviated as SVIET. Started in 2008, it is located in Nandamuru, Pedana, Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. This affiliated college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and offers quite a few types of programmes in Engineering. Having a total student enrolment of 1,196, with a faculty strength of 151, SVIET provides a very conducive learning environment to aspiring engineers.

The institute offers a total of 12 courses: 6 B.Tech programs, 2 M.Tech programs, and 4 Diploma courses. All programs are full-time and meet the requirements of various fields in engineering education. The intake capacity for the B.Tech Programs is 60-120 seats each, while the M.Tech program proposes 9 seats in each specialisation. Also, the Diploma courses are 60 per course. Therefore, on the whole, SVIET has an approved intake of 1,196 students for its various programs from 10+2 to P.G. The admission procedure at SVIET primarily depends on Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET) held for B.Tech programs. The state conducts this entrance examination, and it is compulsory for students who want to be admitted in the State of Andhra Pradesh in engineering courses.
