Sri Viruthambigai College of Education is a reputed college in Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, predominantly focused on establishing a strong foundation of the education of today and tomorrow. This co-educational college started in 2008 and has been preparing future teachers for more than ten years. Registered with a university and recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the college provides standard teacher education courses. The institute is a tiny campus occupying 2 acres; however, it has 200 students, including 15 faculty members, which makes an intimate learning atmosphere for every learner.

Further, the college has an affair hall for necessary events and seminars, a demonstrating class laboratory, and a canteen for snacks. Emergency first aid facilities within a health centre are to safeguard the college users.

As of now, Sri Viruthambigai College of Education has only one full-time course under its umbrella, which is the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). A two-year programme having an intake capacity of one hundred seats helps to fulfil the educational dream of a large number of students every year. Strictly speaking, the present B.Ed. course frame aims at enhancing students’ capability and acquaintance for becoming professional teachers.
