Sri Vivekananda Degree and PG College for Women, Kadapa, was started in 2012 to deliver women-centric higher education in Andhra Pradesh. Situated on Pakeerpalli Road near the Y-Junction, this affiliated college has come out with flying colours in less than a decade. It is affiliated with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) to support the quality education policy of the institution. It is an all-girls college with 776 female students and a faculty of 33 members and has spread across 7 courses and 5 degree courses in Computer Science, Chemistry, and Biotechnology.
Sri Vivekananda Degree and PG College for Women has such advantages as the availability of a number of various up-to-date facilities beneficial for the educational process. A very enriched source of knowledge, the library has numerous volumes on various subjects, competitive exam books, periodicals, and newspapers, all in English and Telugu. For extra-provincial students, the hostel, which is attached to it, offers cutting-edge accommodation to 500 residents, and management guarantees healthy accommodation for its concessionary food services. It has canteen facilities, faculty Wi-Fi connectivity, and sports facilities so that the campus provides all-round development.
The Sri Vivekananda Degree and PG College for Women has set up a standard academic portfolio that contains five full-time undergraduate programmes and one postgraduate programme. The courses are B.Sc (hons), B.Com (hons), B.Sc, M.Sc, and BCA. With a total enrolment of 697 for all the courses offered, the institution has a very social responsibility to contribute to the education of women in the region. It is in tune with this belief and the flexibility of the college and in its curriculum and course choices, most of which blend traditional academic departments with contemporary business and management disciplines.
