SRM Nursing College Kattankulathur was established in 1992. The college is a member of the SRM group of educational institutions, which functions under the Valliammai Society. In 2005, SRM College of Nursing was brought under the ambit of SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) and in 2006, the college became a part of SRM Institute of Science and Technology.
In 2012, SRM College of Nursing Kattankulathur was accredited by NAAC with a grade A. The college is recognised by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and approved by the Medical Council of India and the Government of India. SRM Nursing College Chennai courses are offered at diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels. The courses include GNM, Post-basic diplomas, B.Sc Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing and M.Sc courses in the branch of Nursing. SRM Nursing College Chennai admission is entrance-based.
