St. Berchmans College, Changanassery also known as SB College, was established in 1922 and is affiliated with the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala. The aim of the college is to provide value-based high-quality education. SB College is NAAC-accredited and has been ranked 54 among 2746 colleges by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2023. SB College courses are in the fields of Sciences, Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Computer Applications and IT, and Commerce. The UG courses include BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA and other programmes whereas PG courses include MA, M.Sc, M.Com and others. St. Berchmans College, Changanassery also provides doctoral courses in various specialisations like Physics, Economics, Chemistry, English, Zoology, Botany, Malayalam and Commerce. The admission process to all the SB College courses (except the MBA) is based on open merit and is conducted offline. So, the candidate has to visit the St. Berchmans college campus along with the necessary documents. 

Financial assistance is provided to meritorious students by both Central and State Governments in the form of SB College scholarships. The Placement assistance cell of St. Berchmans College helps students by preparing them for the recruitment processes and guiding them throughout the placement journey. The cell provides soft skill training and conducts placement drives at the St. Berchmans campus. The college also provides separate hostel facilities for male and female students, equipped with Wi-Fi networks,  indoor and outdoor sports activities, and TV rooms.

SB College is situated in Changanassery, Kerala, with the Changanassery Railway Station located approximately 2 km from the institution. The Cochin International Airport is situated approximately 107 km away, while the Kerala RTC, Changanassery Bus Depot is approximately 1 km away. Candidates may opt to hire a taxi or take an auto-rickshaw to reach the college.
