St Michael College of Engineering and Technology (SMCET) was set up in the year 1998, located in Kalayarkoil, Tamil Nadu. This college affiliated with AICTE provides a broad spectrum of engineering and management courses for the students. SMCET provides a complete programme which caters to all types of engineering and management ambitions. This college has 8 undergraduate courses: BE in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Biomedical Engineering and B.Tech in Chemical and Biotechnology. At the postgraduate level, SMCET has ME in Computer Science and Engineering, Communication Systems, Biotechnology and MBA. The overall approval for these courses is 443 students per academic year, while individual course intake for each course ranges between 18 and 60.

For the undergraduate engineering programmes, CEETA-PG is mainly used in the admission process, while CET is used for the admission of the postgraduate courses.
