Swami Ramananda Tirtha Institute of Science & Technology (SRTIST), situated in Nalgonda of Telangana, is an affiliated college which was founded in 1996. The following is one of the finest engineering universities in this part of the world, which provides courses that meet the learning needs of students. SRTIST is a quality technical education providing institute having a total student enrolment capacity of 1,224. The institute has five branches of B.Tech programmes that indicate different technological specialisation areas of the institute. The college is located in Ramananda Nagar where the nurturing of young engineers along with the academic and experimental environment is adopted.
SRTIST offers a range of facilities to the students which are beneficial for the learning process. The library being one of the important academic facilities has more than 47,938 books and 6,094 titles. In addition to this, many national and international journals are subscribed to. A digital library facility was established for students to gain access to lots of information in science and technology fields. The IT facilities are well developed, and include air-conditioned computer laboratories with over 750 computers and internet connection. Facilities for the all rounded development of students in SRTIST include sports complex containing a cricket ground, a basketball court, a tennis court and recreational activities such as table tennis. The college also has boys and girls hostel to provide home-like accommodation to out-station students who require of it. This is an Affiliated College of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.
SRTIST has a total of five B.Tech programmes all of which are of a four year duration. Offering these programmes incorporates Civil Engineering Course, Electrical and Electronics Engineering Course, Mechanical Engineering Course, Electronics and Communication Engineering Course and Computer Science Engineering Course.The institute also maintains a concentration in engineering education to deliver diverse technical disciplines to the students. The total student intake capacity of the institute is 1224 which can be considered as having a great potential for the engineering education.
The procedure of admissions in Swami Ramananda Tirtha Institute of Science and Technology is to a large extent dependent on the results of the Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test known as TS EAMCET.
