The Kavery Engineering College (TKEC) is an affiliated college that was set up in 2006 in Salem, Tamil Nadu. TKEC is situated on a campus of 8 acres and brings to the students a wide choice in engineering and management streams. This institute is AICTE approved and offers a total of 1254 students 18 courses and 4 degree programmes. TKEC has a faculty with a strength of 182 and the college ensures that it has a student-to-faculty ratio that favours the college. Kavery Engineering College is affiliated with or an autonomous college of Anna University, Chennai. TKEC offers a range of services to improve students’ stays. A feature of the campus is that the hostels are separated for boys and girls to provide comfort and safety. Boys' hostel facilities include television, indoor games, and a hall for studying and other related activities. The girls' hostel, which is situated within the campus, is very secure with female security personnel and female supervisors. The college is formally involved in the provision of health care with an operational medical centre with free drugs and a medical lab. For physical fitness, there is a very nice gym facility at the college, and students have full facilities to get their own physical fitness. The central library possesses books, national/international periodicals and project reports for the noble cause of academic pursuit in all fields.

TKEC presently teaches eighteen courses, which are at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The institute offers separate full-time courses in different fields of engineering and has MBA & MCA streams. The approved annual intake for all courses combined has been pegged at 1254 students. 

TKEC has different general admission requirements for its programmes. For admission into the undergraduate engineering programmes resulting in a B.E./B.Tech., candidates are admitted according to the merit of their HSC (academic or vocational) or diploma and any other conditions stated by the college. Engineering postgraduate courses include M.E., and the performance of the candidate’s undergrad; their score out of TANCET scores is preferred. MBA and MCA courses mean admission through scores in undergrad engineering or arts and science with a TANCET score.
